An Afternoon in Annapolis

With my iPod Nano blasting "Time is running out" (by Muse)  in my ears, we set off in the 40ÂșC heat to Annapolis Docks. Annapolis is a a city in Maryland, right next to Washington DC, which made it convenient to visit. During the course of the 40 minute ride, I fell asleep numerous times due to the heat, only to be jolted awake by my younger sister. I couldn't sleep, though it was very tempting; I had to look at the scenery. After we arrived, we walked around a bit, got greeted by tired, panting dogs and got some ICE CREAM :D

Two scoop ice cream cones here are gigantic, double the size of the Baskin Robbins scoops in Malaysia. Chocolate chip cookie dough was simply DELISH. They even had these small lumps of grey stuff, that was sweet and delicious. The only problem was that we went outside of the ice cream shop as soon as we got them, and after a minute of being outside in the sun, they looked like someone had blasted it with a heat ray. An ice cream that is melting needs a strategic method of licking. I knew what to do and successfully managed to finish the gigantic cone. My sister however, did not eat it at all. She would give it a few light licks then watch as it dripped around her wrists, down her arm, off her elbow and onto her converse. It was quite a sticky situation, everyone who passed stared at her and a few even laughed. I'm not sorry to say that I was giggling too.

After the ice-cream, we rushed to the washroom and then we were back in the car on our way back.

'Twas a pretty good trip according to me.

HAI.

Hey everyone :)
Judging from my previous posts you must know that I'm in Washington D.C..
I love this place so much. The house resembles a part of a brownstone house, when it is actually a townhouse. The supermarket is just a block away and the living room glass door opens into the pathway around the the town house.
On the floor of the living room, my baby cousin Anjali sits  on her mat, playing and throwing around her toys. In the kitchen, my grandmother works to keep everyone full (and considerably fatter after the visit).
I love this place so much. It's perfect.

It is so great to see everyone again. There are the comments about how my sister looks taller than me, and how I'm not as little anymore.
I can't to have fun :)

Hey you guys!
I’m sure I mentioned a million times in my last post about how I’m going to the states. Right now (not literally, since this post was done on word and then pasted onto blogger.) I’m sitting on the plane, waiting for my plane to land in Frankfurt.
I’ve never been to Europe before and though and airport doesn’t really count, and its only for two hours, I can still say that I’ve been to Europe! ^v^

I learned some interesting facts on this flight. Singapore is 10289 kilometers away from Frankfurt, 11 hours and 50 minutes.  I misplaced my book for now and I don't remember how far New York is from Frankfurt, but it was an 8 hour flight.
18 hours in total.

plane is about to land :)

Day 1 of Travel.

Hey people of the blogosphere! Here's day 1 of my travels :)

Well I woke up to a loud, annoying, irritating, earblasting(not known if its a real word) noise.
My sister set her iPod touch to wake  me  up at 5 AM. The problem?
It was 10 minutes fast.
So I woke up, falling off my bed (literally) at 4:50 AM. And I couldn't turn it off for 5 minutes because she left her iPod locked. And guess who didn't know the passcode? :\
So we got to the airport by 7, had a bit of trouble with a confused check in counter clerk(?), watched some HIMYM on the plane, and were out of the beautiful and clean Changi airport 15 min after landing. (That's Singapore for you :) )
Then we were at a family friend's house where we relaxed (and I tumblred) for a while before heading off to Bukit Panjang Plaza for some Timezone. :) ( Not meaning to brag or anything but I rocked the Basket ball challenge :) )And here I am now waiting for the other family friend to come over so we can hug it out and then go to the airport.
Oh how I love singapore :)
Now leave me to enjoy my Starbucks coffee :)

 SINGAPORE.

Okay, finally, I have something to write about.
But first, check out my friend, Arthur's blog (its more of a collaboration.)

Anyway, I'm in Singapore at the moment. I'll be here for the rest of the day, till my flight tonight.
I am so excited that I can't explain :D.

When I stepped out of the airplane, onto the connector to the main building, I could immediately sense that I was back home. Changi airport, the best airport I know.
I miss the trees and the roads. The pink flowers in between the road dividers. The green highway signs. The cleanliness (< this cannot be emphasised enough) and most importantly, the safety.
The trees (again in between the road dividers) that make me feel like im going around the world. - its hard to explain.
I can get a cab or take a public bus to the other side of the country without any fear of getting raped. (okay I just read that again and silently LOLed.)
What I like about this place is that I spent most of my childhood here. I miss this place terribly and I'm disappointed that I'm only here for a few hours.

Tumblr

All the time that I've been online today has been put into working on my Tumblr and thinking of what to say on my blog.
I changed my theme several times today because I just wasn't satisfied. I found this amazing one which I found quite familiar, until I realised that it was the same theme as Suh's.
Massive disappointment.
Obviously, I couldn't use it because she started her tumblr way before me so she has dibs.
-.-
oh well I did find another theme that looked good

Writing

I guess for the past few days I've been experiencing a sort of writer's block.
And I still seem to be experiencing it.
I wish my blog were more like Suh's.
She writes about anything she sees and I can't even write about my day.
I can't help but feel like my life is bland and lifeless compared to hers.
I'm not in the mood to write right now.
talk later.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2)

Before I start on my review for Harry Potter, I'd like to mention a few things.
1.I gave up on the 30-day challenge because it no longer appeals to me, so don't expect me to make some more posts related to that.
2. I'd like to thank jenna_rebaby, who recently started following my blog recently. Jenna, you seem to think that I called myself Meghna. I call myself that because THAT IS MY NAME. I personally like it because it mean cloud/rain in Hindi.

Honestly.
I was DISAPPOINTED in the last Harry Potter movie. Everyone claimed it was amazing, but after I watched it, I must say, I disagree.
Even after splitting the book into two movies, there was still too much to put into the second half. it was incredibly patchy and I felt that Hermione and Ron, who are also principle actors in the book had no lines.
I also hate it when the director changes the sequence of actions in the book. Every 5 minutes, I would cry out "No thats not supposed to happen yet!"
They managed to cut off all the brilliant explanations. The EUREKA moment was ruined.
The ending was weird too...
I could think of a million more ways to criticise the movie but I'm sleepy and I wanna sleep
