O-MUN

Heylo! I thought that I'd make another post before I said bye-bye to my blog for a bit.
O-MUN is an Online MUN conference or debate that takes place every two weeks or so with lobbying meetings every few days. Tonight is my first debate and I admit, I'm nervous. The people there are much better than me but I seriously need to improve my debating skills.
My goal: speak at least ONCE during the course of the debate. The more the better!
Okay so I must go research so that I have tons of issues to debate about!

Psychology.

After a 3 day weekend of working on my psychology homework, I finally finished my essay! She gave us less than a week to finish off a 1000 words, and I must admit, I was put off by the number at first. The truth is that right now, it is much (and I must stress MUCH) easier to write a 1000 words essay on any topic than last year or the year before that. I guess it is because my English skills have been steadily improving as I grow or maybe because I have more information to write about. What ever it is, I aim to finish my next essay faster.

But Psychology took a longer time than English. I guess it is because its a brand new topic and I don't know much about it. Its a little interesting, but it hasn't yet screamed for my attention like science and english have.
Okay, I have to go research some Cyber warfare for my O-MUN conference tonight.

THIMUN SINGAPORE

On Monday, Ms. Shepherd my MUN director gave me great news, I was eligible to participate in THIMUN Singapore! I wouldn't be staying with my friends in the hotel, but thats a different story.

The evening I heard the news I was so excited that I wanted to start working immediately, but I hadn't even been assigned a country yet, let alone an issue. My country is Colombia (my mind brings up Gloria Prittchet from Modern Family). Just putting it out there in case any of my readers (the existence of which I highly doubt)  is going to be there as well. I'll be in GA3 you guys!

To be honest, I'm not a very good delegate. To make that statement more positive, I should say that I'm not experienced enough to meet the level of my friends. I've started O-MUN which is an online debate which will help me improve my debating abilities in addition to the weekly MUN meetings held in school. Last night's lobbying session didnt go too well as only me and Reshma turned up. There were 6 moderators. Okay wow, I'm filled with random facts today. So that session was closed early.

SMURFS

I swear that the Smurfs is the funniest and cutest movie ever. I felt that Smurfette was a pointless character since she was just THERE. But Neil Patrick Harris has the funniest faces ever!
OKAY. I'm not gonna ruin anything for anyone so just go watch it now!

Yeah so I've been MIA for a while, I apologise for that.
But Suh has turned blogging into a competition.
THIS IS WAR SUH.

Sure I get super angry and I tend to explode, but once the event is over, then there is  no point in being angry.

SCHOOL.

Okay so, here is my longer post.

It's Suh's BRILLIANT idea for us to start writing for the Berita, which is our school magazine. We hunted for the PA (The parent association) for a bit because we desperately, or at least I desperately wanted to see my writing in print. Unfortunately, we couldn't contact them. FORTUNATELY,  Suh's friend told her about a school newspaper, the MKIS BEAT! that was full of student's works, art and photographs that was about to be launched. This Tuesday, Suh and I are going to ditch lunch and go for our very first meeting!

I really hope that they will let me write short stories for the newspaper or better yet, give me my very own COLUMN for my weekly/ monthly writings. FINGERS CROSSED!

Anyway, this week has been rather long, though other people think otherwise. Lessons are long, but I'm using this time to get to know my other friends that I wasn't that close to in the first place. <3
I hate PE right now, mainly because its full of running. I love swimming. This Saturday, I'm attempting 800m swim in 15-16 minutes. If I approach 20, my dad wins. He doesn't think that I can do it, but I'm going to prove him otherwise!

Well. I'm running out of laptop time, and I need time for research on my current events. Oh yeah :P I nearly used a year old article for CURRENT events.
I'm smart aren't I?
